Recently moved to the desert after living on the westside and working for Santa Monica College for 15 years as a Counselor/Faculty member. Received my MA in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University and my BA from San Francisco State University. My husband and I have a three year old daughter - yes I started motherhood late in life! I do love it! My husband is an animator and has finished work on Scooby Doo II.
Hi everyone from the distant past.....! Our 30 year reunion got me thinking about Samo and all, finally motivating me to check out the web site, bringing back lots of good memories. When I left Samo I went to live in Maui, then finally had to face reality and came back for college. After degrees in Chemistry, Business and Engineering, I finally had to face reality again and get a job. I've been with Southern California Gas Company and its parent, Sempra Energy for 20 years. I'm now vice president of technology for an affiliated telecommunications company. I must say life is pretty good -- primarily because of my great family, Kristen (13), Mike (11) and Elaine (a Pharmacist at Kaiser). I live in Manhattan Beach and keep busy surfing every week and playing beach volleyball. I also keep in regular touch with other Samo alumni, including Dave Hopkins, Jim Wooden, Dusty Brown and other questionable characters. See you at the reunion!
I've been married to Robert Kent for 10 years. Our child substitute is an 8 year old Rottweiler named Tramp. She keeps us in line and gives us great joy. I enjoy line dancing and playing darts with my husband. We (he more than I) play in local tournaments and in Las Vegas and Laughlin. I've been living in Torrance for 9 years and working for an air conditioning contractor for 13 years.

Divorced. Finally. (Damn, the Courts screw over men!) 2 kids - the absolute
best - Justin (12) and Malena (15)(Harvard Law, '2014 - uh, yea she is that
smart BUT after what Harvard did to my dad's sanity when he got his M.D., I
am not sure 'bout this one.). BSME from Cal Poly, SLO. Professional Engineer.
(Designed and built brain balloons, ultra high purity filters, centrifugal systems
and performance motorcycle shocks. Variety is the spice of....Engineering! )(I
passed my PE exam on my first try - I am very proud of that. I was NOT gonna
take that SOB twice!). Quit Engineering and am going to Law School (Intellectual
Property Law). Still reeling from a most unusual 13 year marriage. (yea, I know,
so sez everyone! but, if ya know me, and my life, ya know i am not e-zaggeratin'!
Anyone remember my dad "buzzing" my home on 25th in his airplanes?). Live in
Oakland, CA. 18 or so years here and love it. Thought I would move to Walnut
Creek or Marin but "why"? Still ride fast moto! rcycles (Yamaha FZ-1 right now),
get into the waves ocasionally (it is DANGEROUS up here! friggin' big rocks!
stuff to hit! Stuff to kill ya! Eat ya!), bicycles and such. Laguna Seca motorcycle
road races - call me if ya wanna see the MotoGP this year. Been doin' the Laguna
shit for 34 years now. Reggae on the River (slopping beer to the Rastas and
Hippys up near Humbolt Bay). I go to Rod Miller's (Saint Monica's '75 I think)
every year near Clearlake. Shoot guns and horse shoes and fish and such. My
latest love is Burning Man. Simply AMAZING! EVERYONE should go to B-Man once
in their lifetimes! (check it out on the Web). Now it's very, very kid friendly
(all the adult stuff is out of sight and with doormen, etc. Robots, giant art,
tiny art, explosives, fire, art, and great people from all over the World. Way
too much to see in a week or so. And photography? Bring a hundred rolls or so!
You will need them! That's about all! Contact me if ya wish! (Oh, I am single)
My camp at! Burning Man this year will be Camp Shrunken Heads. I will be giving
away shrunken heads, psychedelic biz cards (look thru cards with colors and
diffractional materials), peyote button art and a few other things (you cannot
buy anything at B-Man except coffee, ice and a Gatoraide type powder - but there
are plenty of free bars, raves and pretty hippy chicks!). Love ya all! DBell
On July 20, 2002, I married my high school sweetheart, Randy Pearson (Venice High Class of '72). It took us 30 years but we're finally together. Between us we have three children, my son Matthew, age 17 and his two daughters Rebekah, age 20 and Bethany, age 17. To add to the craziness of our household we adopted a puppy a week after the wedding, "Jenni" is a 7 month old black cockapoo. Randy teaches elementary school in Burbank and I'll be changing jobs mid August and will be working at the Motion Picture & Television Fund in Calabasas. We're attending Randy's 30th High School reunion on August 17th - I'm looking forward to ours in 2004.
Hi long lost classmates. I retired in '97 from the Air Force and now live in sunny Florida with 2 of my 4 children. I have 3 boys; 23, 21, and 17 and a girl 16. I'd love to hear from anyone that remembers me and am looking for a way to contact DEBBIE BRUINNING so if you know how to get ahold of her, please let me know.

After all these years, I am still a Southern Californian. After spending many years in the travel business after I graduated from UCSB, I went back to school and became a special education teacher. I am now teaching new teachers at Loyola Marymount University and pondering continuing my own education with a PhD or EdD. My passions still include the arts, travel and community building. Remember "be the change you wish to see in the world".

I was one of the first British students to attend campus. I was very much into Photography, and Music. I was always taking pictures and had some published in the yearbook. I am Married with a beautiful family, and now live in the Sunshine State. Any of my friends can e-mail me at michael@cancergroup.com I have gone back to med school at age 46!!! Hey its only a number. Would love to hear from all my old class mates. Why don't we try and track down all members from our year and put together some sort of web page. Also we should remember those who have passed on.
Carolyn BREMER, Class of '74
cbremer@csulb.edu
After teaching at the University of Oklahoma for nine years, I took the plunge and moved back out to California to be a full-time composer and smell the salt air. A year later, Cal State Long Beach called and asked if I would cover one class. Well, I got sucked back into the giant vortext of higher education, and I'm as happy as can be teaching composition and theory at CSULB. I wrote a lot of band music, but as of late I have been more interested in multimedia works which explore postmodern tendencies. In other words, as a composer, I have a split personality. For those who knew my dad, he's retired (it's been many years since he last taught at Samohi) and living on the Big Island in Hawaii. He's doing okay and even conducted a choir until about a year ago. If you want to drop him a line, her can be reachined at TIBI-HI@hawaii.rr.com. My sister, Lianne (class of '73), lives in Utah with her husband and 4 kids.

As a former marching band/concert band/orchestra / and Serenaders member, I fondly remember participating in Samohi activities during the period 1971-74. When I was at Samohi, I was also interested in science, amateur radio (thanks Ron Rindone!) and other technical fields as well as fast cars with large engines... I am currently a Professor of Chemistry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). My field is computational drug design and molecular modeling. I am still active in amateur radio (KC2EBP) as well as flying my Piper Dakota (N4364W). I will always remember Samohi with affection.
Hi all, we are now living in Sultan, Washington and after 26 yrs in Nevada we are loving the green! Our oldest Ken(26)is also in the Seattle area and that was a big reason we moved north. Our middle daughter Heather (23) is in San Diego getting her masters. Our baby Kaylee is 6. I'm still a stay at home Mom and love helping out at school and with kids sports. My husband/ best friend Dixon works for a sub contractor of Boeing. We are having a blast with our little one and can't imagine life without her. Had a great time at the 30th and it was fun to see lots of friends. Wow, are we going to be 50 this year?? Would love to hear from old friends. See you at the 40th.
I work as a software engineer at Candle Corporation in El Segundo, California. I have been happily married now for nearly 15 years to Samohi classmate Richard Clewett '74. Believe it or not, we each attended our 10 year class reunion; but did not meet there. We met the following December, at an informal potluck get together of Samohi alumni. Fate kept throwing us together, until we finally met.
We were a bit late out of the gate with children. We love our little ones Sabrina (age 4) and Paul (age 1). They are of course the joy of our life together.
Rick worked as a bio-engineer for Ace Medical for 9 years, and for Kinamed, Inc. before that. He has recently started his own business -- Clewett Engineering. If anyone needs performance products for their automotive Race engines, please contact us. (Porsche is his specialty.)
I'll try to get Rick to put an entry into the site, so he can explain more. In the meantime, we'd love to hear from old friends.
Rick and I are still living in Santa Clarita with our two girls, Jennifer and Jeriann. Jen is graduating this year which brings back so many memories of Samohi! My e-mail has changed but I would love to hear from friends. Hope to see you all at the 30th.

You may remember me as the kid with red hair and glasses who was mainly seen hanging out with the stage crew. I've always stayed in the LA area, currently in Simi Valley. I was able to wheedle my way into motion picture visual effects, where I've been able to make a pretty good living ever since. My high mark was optical effects supervisor for the first Die Hard movie. I have been married for 12 years to my beautiful wife, Mariann and have to lovely daughters, Heather and Amy.

I married Rhonda Thorne, class of 1978, and we have two kids, a daughter now at the University of Idaho, and a son who is in high school. We moved to northern California, and most recently, to Boise, Idaho. I went to USC after graduating, but financial difficulties meant that I was only there for one year. After much struggle, while working as a software engineer, I completed my BA in History at Sonoma State University 1994, and my MA in History at the same school in 1998. I have five books published, and a number of scholarly papers published.
Finally!!! Living on Maui and loving it!
Just updating my info in the New Year (2005). I just completed my MBA (with an emphasis in E-Commerce) in December 2004, and moved into our new home in Atlanta while finishing up my last class. Needless to say, the stress was "up there". Missed the reunion due to the move, but wanted to say hello to all. Still enjoying living in the South with my husband, Stan, and our 3 year old black lab, Maddux. Happy New Year to all!
01/06 - Life is good and it's fun watching my two daughters at Samohi now! I still can't believe it's been 32 years for all of us. Keep in touch (my new email here), I love hearing from everyone. The 30 year reunion was fun but the night flew by and soon it was over. I felt like I was 16 again when I was in the parking lot at the Queen Mary and I heard someone yell from a car "Hey de Mey!!!" It was a nostalgic moment that helped me slip back into '74 for the evening. (Thanks Mark!)

Hello all!! Greetings from beautiful Tampa Bay! It has been a long time since thinking about SAMO and am very happy to have been led to this site.
It has been a wild ride, but good things come to those of us with patience! (still waiting!?)
I left California a few years after graduation, married a Texan and settled in Fort Worth for about 11 years. We had a wonderful son Bryan, who just turned 21 and is now in the Navy. I remarried and divorced again, guess I'm not good at marriage! We moved back to California for a couple of years, then made the move to Florida. I am now a proud single mom of 2 at home kids, Darla (12) and Travis (9) we just recently purchased our own home on a great little cul-de-sac, with a big duck pond right outside the front yard. It is beautiful and peacefull.
I have been selling irrigation supplies now for over 10 years. I was promoted earlier this year to an outside sales position, and I love it.
All in all we are doing great. We are very active in our church, and stay very busy. Darla is in a private school that has a great gymnastic team in it. They are about to go to Nebraska for a performance. They also perform at the State fair, and are the featured entertainment after the Tampa MLK day parade, two years running. She is also in the Choir. Travis is a busy guy himself with his Pathfinder club, and just getting into everything in general! Me, I just try to keep up!
I would love to hear from some lost friends, and have the opportunity to catch up.
Keep the faith....

I have been a Stuntwoman and Stunt Co-ordinator for the last 24 years. I have moved back to my roots in Malibu in the last year.I just finished working a few monthe on "Matrix 2" and am gearing up to Stunt Co-ordinate a film in Vancouver for a few months. Life is good.I am very busy, single and loving life and Malibu. Hello to my Samohi classmates of 74.
The summer of 2004 brought big changes. Me and my husband Chris Long (Samohi '70), virtual lifelong residents of the Westside, made the break. Circumstances dictated that we move to Orange County and the move was made on Aug. 20, 2004, to a house in the Northwood section of Irvine. Everybody who hypes the O.C., we agree. We have a 12-year-old daughter, Alexandra, who is in the seventh grade.
Older, but no wiser.
I am now an Educator with LAUSD. Was kicked out of Samo by Turner in the middle of my Senior year for cutting classes. Graduated from Santa Monica Adult High School June of 1974, which is when I was scheduled to graduate from Samohi. Hope this qualifies me as an alumni. I went to all Santa Monica schools from kindergarten (Washington Elem.) through Community College.
Chairman Harvey Pitt appointed me chief economist of the Securities and Exchange Commission, effective July 1. As director of the Office of Economic Analysis, I will be the principle advisor to the Commission on all economic issues. The incredible events of the last year (Enron, Tyco, Imclone, ...) promise to make my appointment extraordinarily interesting. I expect to return in two years to resume my teaching and research at USC, where I hold the Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance.
I just finished my first book, TRADING AND EXCHANGES: Market Microstructure for Practitioners. The book describes in plain words how markets work; how governments and exchanges regulate them; and how traders create liquidity, volatility, informative prices, trading profits, and transaction costs. Oxford University Press will publish it in October. NYSE Chairman Dick Grasso wrote a blurb for the jacket! All indications suggest that the book will become the standard introduction to trading. You can learn more about it at TradingAndExchanges.com.
My wife Abby and I have four children, aged 3 to 10 years. We are excited about going to DC, sad to leave LA, and looking forward to returning.
We are most excited about our new tree house: With the kids' help, I built
a fantasy on three levels with ladders, a bridge, a trapdoor, and an incredible
view!

Only SamoHi distinction of any note: I sang for Mr. Bremer and Mr. Smith in the Chorale and Madrigal vocal groups. Wasn't bad as a pickup QB in flag football either. See ya'll in 2004 for #30! Ayme
I left Santa Monica upon graduation to attend UCSC (go slugs!);
graduated in 1978 (English Lit./Spanish minor). I then played
in a
new-wave rock band called Enigma with my brother Richard (Dick
Karst, class of '72) for several years. I went to Stanford Law
School from
'85-'88, and have worked at the Grunsky law firm in Watsonville
(near Santa Cruz) as their research and appellate attorney for
10 years.
After law school, my sister Laura (class of '79) and I formed
a country-rock band called Electric Range, and put out a CD in
1994. I'm
now retired from music, but do photography instead (I just had
a photo show at the Watsonville Airport, called "Pilots and
Planes of the Pajaro
Valley"). I still practice law, and live with my partner
of 13 years, Robin McDuff, and our dog Rosie, in Santa Cruz.

My wife and I live in San Diego (on the hill above Pacific Beach). All's well. Work is still a lot of fun (I'm still playing with very large compute clusters for scientific computing), and I'm a bit of a photo nut. More stuff on my site.
I recently joined in with two different start-up companies since the start of 2002 - AccountLAN, a fixed wireless internet company bringing service to Utah County, and Wahoo Studios, a video game developer. Life suddenly got very exciting and very busy. My wife Arlette and I are still enjoying life in American Fork, Utah. We have 3 children, Jill (17), Kristen (15) and Kyle (13). Between school, music and sports they keep us busy. Thanks to Bob Sully for organizing the mailing list. Hope to see everyone at the 30th reunion.

We moved to the beautiful central coast in 1990 to escpare
the L.A. rat race. I have two jobs. I work in the accounting department
of a large produce grower full time and then every other weekend
I work in the tasting room of a local winery. Dana has his own
gardening business. I still keep in touch with David McNiff, Anita
DeMey, Kebvin Walters, Jeremy Slate, Betty Meyer, Chris Wienecke,
Michele Stowe, and others. I hope someone out there has the good
sense to put on a belated 25th reunion. Guess we cant count on
Jeff Beck any more!!! Let's do one next year!!!! Anyone game?
After graduating from UC Irvine, where I met my wife of 25 years, I did a short stent as a National Park Ranger in Glacier National Park. Following that, Darcie and I attended Georgetown Univesity School of Dentistry, and we have been practicing on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula for the past 20 years. We have two incredible children, both attending private high school Monterey. Joshua, 17, a senior is just applying to college, probably Harvard or MIT. His SAT scores are Darcie's and mine combined. He volunteers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a guide as does my 14 year old daughter,Amy. Amy is active on stage and she and I are currently in the Sound of Music at the Outdoor Forest Theater in Carmel. We are busy with our practice, the kids and when I'm not shlepping or on stage, I like to travel and fly fish. Let me know if you are coming to the reunion!
What can I tell you, but that I'm single again and intend to stay that way forever, two marriages are two too many! My sons Lowen(23) and Dakota(16) live with me, son Darin(30) and grandson Kaleo(1) live close by and Mom lives in Lahaina. If you ever come to Maui, look me up and I can tell you almost anything about the island after living here for 34 years. Also, would love to hear from some of my old friends. Now that time is my own,(no fat man to wait on and clean up after) I will have time to communicate with friends!

If anyone even remembers me, it will be of a person who was a total "gear head" in high school, and maybe a failed cross country runner with a big heart. Well, I nearly did not graduate from Samo due to lack of focus, lack of interest, and an unquenchable lust to go 200 mph. For a few years, I worked as am auto mechanic (and a pretty good one at that). Things do change, however. I still have an unquenchable lust, but now for something very different. The details are not important -- but during high school and for years after no one (especially myself) could have guessed that I now sit here today as a successful astronomer and astrophysicist. Yes, you read that right. I find it hard to believe, myself. It is just seems wrong when I am addressed as Dr. Latter. For nearly the past 20 years I have been making up for lost time in high school and college, got the undergraduate and graduate training required, and then the adventure started. My work has taken me to cities and mountaintops all over the world. It has been a truly wild ride. This year things are settling down a bit. My wife of 11 years and I have returned to SoCal. I work and study at Caltech/JPL where I am helping to design and eventually operate an exciting new space-based observatory. Drop me an email sometime!
Living in Clovis, CA. Wife Berna and 4 great kids, Alison(23), Jasara(22), Ryland(18) & Kylynne(12). Lots of dogs, cats and horses. Have spent nearly 30 years in the music business producing concerts and events around the world. Happy to hear from anyone who cares to write.

I was absolutely too stoned during my time at Samohi to remember much about any of you. I came to Samohi in 11th grade after being excused from St Monica's, Pali and Uni. I'm convinced they gave me a diploma from Samo to prevent me from winning the coveted "Senior most likely to be a senior next year" award. After HS, I spent 5 years attempting to complete 1 semester at SMC, in between bouts of addiction. Got help in '79, went to college at GW in Washington DC, graduated with honors and became a teacher and basketball coach for 14 years. Biggest claim to fame in that area was being named the National and Olympic coach for a small country in the West Indies for nearly 8 years. Transitioned into sports broadcasting and currently have been training others how to become radio/TV broadcasters themselves, via my new company after years with another similar company. I joke about the drug-induced haze the 70's brought...but it's actually NOT a necessary lifestyle. Sobriety has enabled me to provide for a family with 5 children, own my own business and realize a good many of my dreams. Most importantly, it's given me HOPE that nothing is impossible. If you're reading this and are struggling with those issues, get the appropriate help, starting with attending a 12 step meeting. You WONT regret it.[Off my soapbox, now] If any of you remember the long blond haired guy in a constant purple haze, get in touch. Would love to catch up on all the memories I missed.
Graduated Samohi 1974, Attended UCLA, while employed by Santa Monica Police Dept. Received training in Traffic Accident Reconstuction, the use of physics and math to reconstruct the vehicle speeds, etc. in collisions. For the 18 years, after leaving the police department, I worked as an expert witness in the courts as an Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist. In 2003, retired from the expert witness field, moved to Oregon and embarked on a second career teaching Algebra and Web Design at a high school. Married to a fantastic woman, Sharlon Bohannon, Class of 1972. Sharlon is an Asset Protection Coordinator for Wal-Mart, with responsibility for auditing and tracking inventory losses. Have two beautiful children, Kristin, age 16, who aspires to be an editor and Megan, age 12, who loves math as much as I do. I have to say, living in the Great Pacific Northwest with my family and enjoying my second career as a math teacher, life just keeps getting better.

Hi, I think it's great to have the alumni association online, as well as the high school. Please list me and the following message: I'm live just outside Portland, Oregon in a small town of 20,000 people. It's great to have all the benefits of small town life, as well as those of a metropolitan area. I was married for several years, and have two boys who are currently living with their father in Arkansas (where I lived for 11 years).
I work with juvenile offenders teaching employment and life skills at a independent living program and alternative school. It's great watching these kids grow and mature and turn their lives around.
I would love to get email (pixel@renpdx.com) from any old classmates.
I have managed to stay in touch with three or four old friends
over the years.

What I really want to know is, what ever happened to Yubo Lee?!
I went to Santa Monica College after graduation and, many years later, earned an undergraduate degreee in Business from Loyola Marymount University, where I am also employed in the Human Resources Department. I have three children, Sean 22, Yvonne 15, and Scott 14. I didn't achieve anyhthing notable while at SAMOHI, so I will not be remembered by most (with a class of over 800, that's to be expected.) I enjoyed reading what others wrote and I hope anyone who remembers me will send a note.

I am working on a new career in IT and with the Navy again, this time as a civilian contractor at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona. Married to Darlene Packard ('75) and living in the high desert area of Phelan, CA with 14 dogs. I get to ride my Harley every day now (currently on a '05 Ultra Classic Police Edition). Commuting to Norco but riding the zipper lane isn't as fun as mountain roads.... I’ve been a ham radio operator since 1987 (W6SPY). You can see our place at www.shandar.us.
Hi Samohi alums, hope you are all doing well! It would be interesting
to receive e-mail from the high school folks, so get to it! I
work for Pacific Bell at the Corporate Headquarters in San Ramon,
California. I truly enjoy my work because of all the latest techology
which I get to "play" with...Fun Stuff!!! Ronnie Rindone
would be proud!!! Anyways, If anybody knows the whereabouts of

We have financed over $500 million in college loans. Consider us when the need arises! Janet continues as food service director at LAC/USC med center. Katrina is now a junior in high. Melanie Preston, Patti Keeler & Cathy Rogers
Here's a snap of three old broads tieing one on for our 50th. That's Melanie Preston and Patti Keeler - I'm the odd looking on on the right. Still no redeeming qualities whatsoever; however, no cellulite either. 10/02/04 Had many laughs at the 30th reunion on the Queen Mary with Patti Keeler, Patty Andrews, Carmen Shade and Betty Smith (who haven't aged one single year); Dennis Thurman still tried to get me in a dark corner (bless his heart); Gary Funderburk, tall, gorgeous, single, stole my heart & went back to Texas (dagnabit); Joe at the bar, Mark at the bar, Dusty and Pat at the bar (aka the "Wrecking Crew") - y'awl know who you are - I haven't laughed that hard in a long time - thank you. And thank you for getting your OWN room this time. But, please, buy your own damn cigarettes next time. And since when does Don Cheetham wear bifocals? Steve Beck STILL looks twelve. I've no intention of coming back for a 40th. The shoe shopping alone would do me in. Rock on all.
Live in Moorpark, CA. Have been married to Jane (met in college) for for 23 years. Have two boys (Chris 18 and Brian 16) and a daughter (Kelsey 6). Been working in Ventura County for 30 years and life is great. If we have a 25 year reunion I'll be there.

Glad to be back in California. Living in Roseville. Anyone in the area?
I've been living in Texas for 14 years but I miss California and get back there every chance I get. I can't believe it's been almost 30 years since we got out of high school! I do not feel any older! I suppose part of this is because I have gone back to school and completed my bachelor's degree in Spanish in Dec. 2002. Now I am working on a master's in international relations, focusing on inter-american studies. I have 3 children, Rory, who just completed his freshman year at UT Austin, Rex 15, and Rebekah 10. I still love the ocean, but being without a major body of water in Texas (except for the Gulf coast, which doesn't even count in my book, I find the lakes and rivers in the Texas Hill Country to be a fairly nice substitute when I have the free time to visit. I'm looking forward to seeing "y'all" at the 30th reunion!
WOW... Its great to see if I can remember the names and the faces. I was a Auto Shop grad, remenber Mr. ?, had the beautiful porsche ! Married, 20 years, daughter 20 & son 16,,, WOW. Looking forward to the 2004 reunion.

I can't believe that it's been 27 years since we graduated. It seems like it was just a few years ago. I certainly don't feel 45!!
I'm a family doc at Kaiser Permanente's Simi Valley clinic. It's nice and quiet here, but I do miss the beach, and get over to the Westside as often as possible. When I'm not working, I enjoy SCUBA diving, downhill skiing, photography (under water and above) and dabbling with computers - I do a bit of consulting on the side.
My Samohi sweetheart and I married in '80, but we went our separate ways about nine years later. I have four great kids, ages 17, 13, 13 and 9 at this writing.
The 10-year reunion was great; I missed the 20. Looking forward to the 30, wish there had been a 25.
What a long, strange trip it's been.
P.S.: I have set up a mailing list on one of my servers for the Class of '74. To join, go to: http://www.malibyte.net/mailman/listinfo/samohi74.

Hey Samo Friends. Well, it's back to school for me after 15 years as an accountant and 12 years in telecommunications. Otherwise I spend my time with my husband, Roger, son, Bryce 5, and daughter, Alex 3 1/2.
Jeff Trainoff, class of 1974, passed away on July 15, 1999, at the age of 43.
He died of complications resulting from a heart attack he suffered in
November 1998. Jeff lived in Santa Cruz immediately following his graduation
from Samohi. Jeff graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona with a BS in biology. He joined
GTE, where worked for 18 years until his untimely death. He was buried in Ventura
CA. He will be dearly missed by his wife Annie and 7 year
old son Max, his parents Morrie and Gertrude Trainoff of Sun City, Roseville
CA, his sister Marcie Trainoff Davis '65' and family of Roseville, CA and
brother Rusty '68' and family of Hollywood CA.
Anyone that remembers me I'd be glad to keep in touch with. My e-mail address is Susana-Rodriguez@SantaMonica.org
I probably remember my classmates from Malibu Park Junior High better than those from Samohi since I wasn't very involved in high school. I was to busy showing my horses. After high school I went to UC Davis and then transfered to Cal Poly Pomona after I met my husband to be (we have been married 30 years next year). We lived in Simi Valley for 22 years and then moved in 2001 to a 132 acre ranch in San Luis Obispo, CA where we run a small cow calf operation (a hobby gone amuck). We now own income property that allows us to live where ever we want. We have one daughter (long blonde hair just like me) who will be graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis this spring (Ag Business)and getting married on the 1st of July under the same Sycamore trees in my parents front lawn in Malibu as I did some nearly 30 years ago. Spent 10 years going to cow shows with our daughter and now we are back into showing horses. Fun to see where and what classmates are doing. Write if you like...
As the designated driver for all of my buddies in high school, it was a natural progression for me to start a limousine service in 1980. Have been doing it ever since, only now I have family of four to transport, in addition to my many happy clients. Fortunately, my buddies got their own cars!
Graduated early and moved to Palm Springs, married in Sept/75
and moved to Saskatoon,Saskatchewan Canada where my husband and
his family owned a hardware store. Have 2 kids daughter 19 son
17. Still living in Saskatoon, hate the winters!! Will probably
be moving back to Calif in 2000. Am free again after 24 yrs of
marriage!! *smiles* Still in touch with my best friend Kath Bailey-Ruth
now living in Tenn with her husband and 2 children. Have never
made it back for a re-union, would like to hear from any of the
old classmates that remember me.
