Spent 25 years in the Surfboard business in Santa Monica. I now work part-time for a property management firm. Spend my free time on the golf course or with my grandson Paul. My daughter and son-in-law live close by which is what keeps me in the area. Would love to hear from you and hope to see you all at the 50th this summer.

I recently retired from the Xerox Corporation where I served in numerous managerial capacities for 31 years. My wife and I reside in Rancho Palos Verdes and have two children who live in the area. I volunteer with the American Lung Association and I'm currently serving on their National Board of Directors.

My dad, who used to own Westland Optical in Santa Monica, is now living here in Jacksonville Oregon. So is my mom, she's in Talent Or.. I recognized the names shown and it was only yesterday when we Haulers used to sit on our car's fenders and wait for the cannon to go off. US Navy carrier pilot for 5 years--114 missions in Vietnam. Joined TWA as a pilot in 1966 and retired in June 1999. Have lived in the Bahamas for the last 29 years. Just completed a 3 month, 32 states, ocean to ocean, 74 National Parks on my motorcycle.

Have lived in beautiful Cedar City, Utah since 1977. Been married 36 years to a great guy from Iowa. We now have 29 grandkids-and we're still raising kids. We adopted 3 wonderful grandaughters. The oldest is spending this summer in Uganda teaching. I love getting reacquainted with "old" school buddies.

First husband Jay Francis Sorenson (Samohi Class S55) died of Diabetic complications at 30 years old when our kids were 7 and 6. Updated 9-07: Boohoo & whoopie! We are all turning 50. Its great to be here, yes?! I'm still living in Bay Area, married, three kids (the oldest starts UC Davis this year). Working in the semiconductor industry, hoping to someday work in the "full" conductor industry (okay, bad joke).

Kudos to the keepers of this site! Gus & I have lived in Newport since '65 where we raised 3 children who now have 4 kids of their own. After SC, taught, then had commercial design co. 20 years. In 2000 got a UCI Studio Art degree. Retirement brings joy: painting, photography, LA art scene, hiking, boating and adventure travel.

Most of my friends would remember me spending more time on the Santa Monica pier than in class at Samohi. I'm still hanging out on the waterfront in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We operate a worldwide yacht & ship sales, charter and management company based in Florida with offices in San Diego and Seattle. It is always nice to hear from friends and classmates.

Hi everyone. Lifes journey has brought us to beautiful North Idaho. Life is good....

I have been been doing substitute teaching (elementary grades)in the Garden Grove Unified School District since retiring in '99. Enough is enough! This is the last year. Husband Peter and I have property at Outdoor Resort of Palm Springs where we can be found most weekends during the fall and winter. I play golf every chance I get--which is daily if I can arrange it. I love golf! We're looking forward to a cruise to Acapulco in November on the Norwegian Star. It's especially exciting because we got an upgrade from a standard outside room to a penthouse--which comes with a butler and concierge!We'll both be so spoiled!

My father, Wayne G. Schiess, Samohi class of 1957, died unexpectedly on January 13, 2003. He was 63. He is survived by my mother, Alyce Carol (Brimley) Schiess, Samohi class of 1958, and by his seven children and 13 grandchildren. Wayne Schiess Jr.

Loved Samohi although I was kicked out for not living in the district and sent to Uni for my senior year. Still have great memories of leaving campus for lunch, sitting in the quad and watching all the cute guys. We were part of the innocent generation- I remember knitting fuzzy dice for my boyfriend's car! The worst trouble I got into was drinking beer at the beach and skipping class. Life has been great, interesting and unusual. Under contract to 2oth Cent. Fox for a few years-did small parts, left and went to college and grad sch. Worked in government as an analyst to the Board of Supv. Sold & managed real estate. Married 2x, have a beautiful dtr in Davis, Ca. Love the arts and business! Recognize several names....Would love to hear from old friends.

Where has the time gone. It seems like yesterday that I graduated. I only graduated due to my Spanish teacher saying that it was easier to give me a C than have me back for another year. Who knew that the "stuff" we had to learn would be so important to the rest of our lives. 50th reunion, how can that be? I still have books checked out from the library. I never finished serving detention. Is this the Twilight Zone? Lots of great memories. May God bless you all for the memories.

Live just south of Boston in Hull, MA. Pastored an American Baptist Church for 14 years. Working as producer/correspondent for Lightworks Group, producing stories for the Naomi Judd show on Hallmark Channel. My wife Joy and I have two children, two grandchildren, just built a place on Martha's Vineyard, but not retiring yet. Get to see some old friends in Santa Monica on travels. Great to see everyone at 50th. Waiting patiently to sell family land so wife and I can go back to Hawaii. Presently came out of retirement to work in the video-phone business, what fun.
